RESOLUTION IING THE ACCEPTANCEH
DONATION OF A 2016 TOYOTA 4RUNNER FROM THE STATE
HAWAII DEPARTMENT OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL TO THE
HAWAII COUNTY OFFICE OF THE PROSECUTING ATTORNEY
WHEREAS, the State of Hawaii Department of the Attorney General is donating
a 2016 Toyota 4Runner to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney; and
WHEREAS, this vehicle, with an estimated value of$28,196, will be utilized by
the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney for law enforcement purposes; and
WHEREAS, Article X111, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides
that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money,
securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and
Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts
or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the
capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution
approved by the Council; and
WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney recommends the acceptance
of this donation; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`1 that in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter
2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of
Hawaii accepts this donation.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney, the Department of Finance and the
Office of the Mayor.
