Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to submit the nomination of William F. Green
of Hilo to the Hawaii County Board of Appeals to replace
Mildred C. Mosher of Ka'u who had resigned on January 21, 1997,
to serve as a member of the Hawaii County Planning Commission.
Mr. Green is lifetime resident of Hawaii, and since 1991, has
been the Owner/President of the PCI Chemical Corporation.
Prior to that, he was employed as a Vice-President of Sales
with Allied Machinery (1970-1990). He is a member of the Board
of the Hilo Yacht Club and Vice-President of the Hilo Stroke
Club of the American Heart Association. Mr. Green is a
Democrat.
If approved, Mr. Green will serve the balance of the unexpired
term which will end on December 31, 1997. Should the Council
have any questions regarding this nomination, you may contact
me at your earliest convenience.
