Subject: Please support Bill 120
I urge you to support this bill. The transition from fossil fuels to green solutions must be enabled by local,
state and federal governments. My family's decision to switch from gas to electric for motor transport is
based on observations on climate change, and our nation's over-reliance on fossil fuels. We have solar
powered hot water and electricity at our house, and are now transitioning our modes of transport to lessen
our imprint. We believe our actions matter. But, we need our government leaders to ensure our society
moves in the right direction. My commute for work every day is 124 miles roundtrip. I am eagerly
awaiting the arrival of my EV (on order right now) so I can further reduce my daily carbon
footprint. Having adequate and well maintained charging stations across the island would allow us to
enjoy both the wonders of the Big Island, while traveling or just running errands. .
