Subject: Please Support Bill 120 - Public EV Charger
Dear County Council Members.
I am writing to request that you please support Bill 120. One time I drove my electric car from the West side to Hilo and
while normally I am able to just barely do the round trip, circumstances were a bit different this time. I knew I could not
make it all the way back... I had to spend the night in Hilo, in my car in the Target parking lot with my kids. It did not feel
safe nor fun.
Most other charging stations were out of order or slower than advertised. There are not enough stations around the
island... one on the saddle road, by the playground, would be great!
I love that this bill includes not only more chargers but also to keep them in good working order.
