Dear Sir:
On behalf of HPM Building Supply, I would like to articulate our support of the self help
housing project proposed in Puukapu, South Kohala. Over the years HICDC has
developed over a hundred self help homes on the island and this has served the Big Island
community well by bringing in federal funds to assist low income families attain the
American dream of homeownership.
The projects completed to date have also directly benefited HPM employees. So far six
HPM employees have participated as home builders and aze now proud homeowners in
HICDC's projects. We believe that these projects aze a benefit to the community and
thus support their continuation at the site proposed.
