RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR MULTI-YEAR LEASES FOR FIVE (5) MULTI-FUNCTION COPY MACHINES FOR THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more
than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawai‘i wishes to enter into multi-year lease agreements for five (5) years, for five (5) multi-function copy machines for the Finance Department; and
WHEREAS, this equipment is to be used by the Department of Finance, Vehicle Registration and Licensing Division’s offices in Kona and in Hilo; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I:
That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into five (5) year lease agreements for the equipment as indicated above, for the Finance Department.
That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawai‘i shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of the Mayor and the Finance Department.
