Sako via Communication No. 978 <br /> dated September 1, 2022, authorizes the acceptance of the donation of a 2016 Toyota 4Runner from the <br /> State of Hawaii Department of the Attorney General to the Hawaii County Office of the Prosecuting <br /> Attorney. <br /> This donation with an estimated value of$28,196 would be used by the Office of the Prosecuting <br /> Attorney for victim and witness transport and travel between Hilo and Kona. <br /> Committee Chair Matt Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder provided comments thanking those involved in the donation, <br /> including Lisa Faulkner-Inouye from the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney. Mr. Kdneali`i-Kleinfelder <br /> also emphasized the maintained value of the Toyota 4Runner. <br /> Pursuant to Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council may accept gifts of donations of <br /> money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate.
