Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 209, reports as follows:
Bill No. 209, transmitted by the Finance Director Deanna S. Sako via Communication No. 981 dated
September 1, 2022, amends Ordinance No. 22-63, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County of
Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023.
This bill appropriates revenues in the Federal Grants—Hawaii County Trek the Trails account
($96,000); and appropriates the same to the Hawaii County Trek the Trails account. Funds would be
used to promote alternative transportation options and safe routes to schools through the Trek the Trails
proj ect.
There was no discussion on the measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 209, and recommends
its passage on first reading.
