i <br /> i <br /> ppJktV'®F k,�- <br /> .n Zilltl�. <br /> C"O"UNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> +r�cF•µ►v+ <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 5702! 22 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO HOPE SERVICES <br /> HAWAII, INC., TO SUPPORT THE 2022 `AUAMO KULEANA DOMESTIC <br /> VIOLENCE SUMMIT. <br /> WHEREAS, HOPE Services Hawaii, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that <br /> helps families, youth, and single adults located throughout Hawaii Island attain social and <br /> economic assistance; and <br /> WHEREAS, HOPE Services Hawaii, Inc., is the fiscal sponsor for Hawaii Community <br /> College's `Auamo Kuleana(It's Our Kuleana)Domestic Violence Summit; and <br /> WHEREAS, the `Auamo Kuleana Domestic Violence Summit takes place on October 21, <br /> 2022, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hawaii Community College; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Hawaii Community College's Culinary Arts program will provide food <br /> and beverages and the Creative Arts program will provide reusable bags and mini first aid kits to <br /> attendees; and <br /> WHEREAS, HOPE Services Hawaii, Inc., is requesting funds to assist with acquiring <br /> supplies, materials, and food for the `Auamo Kuleana Domestic Violence Summit; and <br /> WHEREAS, one of the goals of the Department of Liquor Control is to support alcohol- <br /> free and drug-free community events; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Liquor Control to provide a grant to HOPE Services Hawaii, Inc., for the 2022 `Auamo Kuleana <br /> Domestic Violence Summit. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
