RESOLUTION U I ING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER
FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR
MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES TO INSPECT AND
IDENTIFY MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR REQUIREMENTS OF LAND
MOBILE RADIO SITE INFRASTRUCTURE FOR THE CIVIL DEFENSE
AGENCY
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease
or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal
year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a three (3) year multi-year
agreement for services to inspect and identify maintenance requirements of Land
Mobile Radio (LMR) site infrastructure owned by the County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, the LMR site infrastructure,.which includes towers, equipment sheds,
access roads, and security systems currently does not have regular service or
maintenance; and,
WHEREAS, a well maintained infrastructure system is essential in providing
uninterrupted services for First Responder radio communication; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`1:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a three (3) year
agreement for the services as described above, for the Civil Defense
Agency.
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the
anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawaii
shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of the Management, the Civil
Defense Agency and the Finance Department.
