A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO NORTH KOHALA COMMUNITY
RESOURCE CENTER FOR THE KOHALA POP WARNER FOOTBALL PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the North Kohala Community Resource Center (NKCRC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to increase the number of successful community projects that benefit
North Kohala through education, training, and bridges to funding, and has currently supported over 75 community projects; and
WHEREAS, the NKCRC supports public youth athletic, physical fitness, and personal growth and development programs; and
WHEREAS, the NKCRC is requesting funds to assist with expenses needed to replenish and update the athletic equipment and supplies for the Kohala Pop Warner Football program; and
WHEREAS, this project falls within the Department of Parks and Recreation’s mission to provide and/or facilitate an array of services and opportunities in response to the community’s
needs and interest; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai‘i County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying
the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide
a grant to the North Kohala Community Resource Center for expenses relating to the replenishment of athletic equipment and supplies for the Kohala Pop Warner Football program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai‘i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
