Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Resolution No. 560-22,reports as follows:
Resolution No. 560-22,transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako via Communication No. 1009
dated September 16,2022, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of more than one
fiscal year for multi-year leases for five multi-function copy machines for the Finance Department.
This resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into five-year lease agreements with an approximate
monthly cost ranging from$72 to $91 for each copier.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Pursuant to Section 10-11,Hawai`i County Charter, any contract, lease or other obligation requiring
payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or more than one fiscal year shall be
approved by Council resolution.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 560-22, and
recommends its adoption.
