Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Bill No. 233,reports as follows:
Bill No. 233,transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako via Communication No. 1068 dated
October 14, 2022, amends Ordinance No. 22-63, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County of
Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023.
This bill appropriates revenues in the Home Program—Tenant Based Rental Assistance Fraud Recovery
Income account($5,000); and appropriates the same to the Tenant Based Rental Assistance (TBRA)
Fraud Recovery Income account. This bill also allows for the receipt of funds recovered from tenants
who have committed fraud.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 233, and recommends
its passage on first reading.
