RESOLUTION NO. 622 22
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE HAWAII COUNTY COUNCIL'S HEARTFELT
GRATITUDE TO VICE-CHAIR AARON S.Y. CHUNG FOR HIS YEARS OF
DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII.
WHEREAS, Council Member Aaron S.Y. Chung (hereinafter"Aaron Chung")
represented Council District 2 in the 2014-2016, 2016-2018, 2018-2020, and 2020-2022 Council
terms; and
WHEREAS, Aaron Chung has the distinction of having served as Council Chair for the
2018-2020 Council term and as Council Vice-Chair for the 2020-2022 Council term; and
WHEREAS, Aaron Chung will complete his term of office at Noon on Monday,
December 5, 2022; and
WHEREAS, Aaron Chung has compiled an exemplary attendance and voting record for
all Council meetings held during his years in office, which in addition to his most recent years of
service as a Council Member include serving as Council Member in the 1996-1998, 1998-2000,
2000-2002, and 2002-2004 Council terms; now,therefore,
BE IT.RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it
hereby extends its sincerest gratitude to Council Member Aaron Chung for his years of service
and offers its best wishes for his continued health, success, happiness, and good fortune in his
personal and professional life.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to Council Member Aaron Chung.
