HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 621 Draft 01 2020-2022A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE HAWAIʻI COUNTY COUNCIL’S HEARTFELT GRATITUDE TO CHAIR MAILE MEDEIROS DAVID FOR HER YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAIʻI.
WHEREAS, Council Member Maile Medeiros David (hereinafter “Maile David”) represented Council District 6 in the 2014-2016, 2016-2018, 2018-2020, and 2020-2022 Council terms; and
WHEREAS, in her first six years in office, Maile David served as Chair of the Committee on Human Services and Social Services (2014-2016), Vice-Chair of the Committee on Planning (2014-2016),
Chair of the Committee on Human Services and Social Services (2016-2018), Chair of the Committee on Finance (2016-2018), and Vice-Chair of the Committee on Public Works and Parks and
Recreation (2016-2018), and Chair of the Committee on Finance (2018-2020); and
WHEREAS, Maile David has the distinction of having served as Council Chair for the 2020-2022 Council term; and
WHEREAS, Maile David will complete her term of office at Noon on Monday, December 5, 2022; and
WHEREAS, Maile David has compiled an exemplary attendance and voting record for all Council meetings held during her years in office; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that it hereby extends its sincerest gratitude to Council Member Maile David for her years of service and offers its best wishes
for her continued health, success, happiness, and good fortune in her personal and professional life.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to Council Member Maile David.
