HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 623 Draft 01 2020-2022A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE HAWAIʻI COUNTY COUNCIL’S HEARTFELT GRATITUDE TO HERBERT M. TIM RICHARDS, III FOR HIS YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAIʻI.
WHEREAS, Herbert M. “Tim” Richards, III (hereinafter “Tim Richards”) represented Council District 9 in the 2016-2018, 2018-2020, and 2020-2022 Council terms; and
WHEREAS, during the past six years, Tim Richards has served as Chair of the Committee on Agriculture, Water, and Energy Sustainability (2016-2018), Vice-Chair of the Committee on Environmental
Management (2016-2018), Chair of the Committee on Agriculture, Water, Energy, and Environmental Management (2018-2020), Vice Chair of the Committee on Finance (2018-2020), and Chair
of the Committee on Regenerative Agriculture, Water, Energy, and Environmental Management (2020-2022); and
WHEREAS, Tim Richards has admirably took on additional leadership roles as a legislator by serving as Board Member of both the National Association of Counties (NACo) and the Western
Interstate Region (WIR); and
WHEREAS, Tim Richards was elected to represent District 4 as a Hawaiʻi State Senator on November 8, 2022; and
WHEREAS, Senator Richards has compiled an exemplary attendance and voting record for all Council meetings held during his years in office as Council Member; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that it hereby extends its sincerest gratitude to Senator Tim Richards for all of his years of service and offers its best wishes
for his continued health, success, happiness, and good fortune in his personal and professional life.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the Honorable Herbert M. “Tim” Richards, III, Hawaiʻi State Senator.
