Additional federal funds in the amount of$90,000 are <br /> being provided by the State of Hawaii Department of Health, Alcohol and Drug Abuse <br /> Division to be used to increase the capacity of substance abuse prevention systems on <br /> Hawaii Island. <br /> Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these <br /> additional funds into the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney's Substance Abuse <br /> Prevention Coordinator account, bringing the total appropriation to $200,000. <br /> The Office of the Prosecuting Attorney respectfully requests that this bill be waived from <br /> Committee and be placed on the December 21, 2022 Council agenda in order to expedite <br /> the receipt of these funds.
