I <br /> 3 <br /> 1 <br /> t}4 <br /> 04M,(rl®i ii I <br /> TY F A '° STA `I <br /> 'IT}'t}F•MPN <br /> RESOLUTION . 2 <br /> I <br /> I <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF <br /> DONATION OF FOOTWEAR FOR USE BY THE COUNTY OF <br /> AWAVI FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> r <br /> EEA , OluKai is donating footwear specifically designed for <br /> Beach Lifeguards, valued at approximately $19,840 to the County of Hawaii <br /> rj <br /> Fire Department; and <br /> E <br /> z <br /> 4 <br /> WHEREAS, OluKai will supply three pairs of footwear for each Water <br /> Safety Officer to utilize while on duty; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter <br /> provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of <br /> donations of money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or <br /> any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the <br /> Hawaii County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, securities, or <br /> personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the <br /> Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution approved by the <br /> Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii Fire Department recommends the <br /> acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County <br /> Charter, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(x) of the Hawaii County <br /> Code, the Council of the County of Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />
