HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 019 Draft 01 2022-2024 I 3 1 t}4 04M,(rl®i ii I TY F A '° STA `I 'IT}'t}F•MPN RESOLUTION . 2 I I RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF DONATION OF FOOTWEAR FOR USE BY THE COUNTY OF AWAVI FIRE DEPARTMENT r EEA , OluKai is donating footwear specifically designed for Beach Lifeguards, valued at approximately $19,840 to the County of Hawaii rj Fire Department; and E z 4 WHEREAS, OluKai will supply three pairs of footwear for each Water Safety Officer to utilize while on duty; and WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(x) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of Hawaii accepts this donation. 1111 BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the Office of the Mayor, Department of Finance and Fire Department.
