RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION CREATING ONE (1) NEW CLERK-DISPATCHER I POSITION FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Police Department is in need of a Clerk-Dispatcher I position to accommodate and support the Animal Control Program for the County of Hawai‘i; and
WHEREAS, this position is necessary to assist in receiving and disseminating calls and to make referrals and advise callers with Animal Control issues; and
WHEREAS, the position indicated above is one (1) Clerk-Dispatcher I, SR-12; and
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 5-1.3(c) of the Hawai‘i County Charter states that the Mayor has the power to “Create positions...for which appropriations have been made by the council...”;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that one (1) Clerk-Dispatcher I, SR-12, position be created in the Police Department.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the Office of the Mayor, Department of Finance, Police Department and Department of Human Resources.
