The hourly cost will be approximately $125 and shall not exceed a total of $30,000. The services provided are to collaborate with Hawaii Fire Department staff to ensure successful procurement and payment processing of their grant award as well as prepare reports,perform grant reconciliation, and ensure legal compliance in relation to the Firefighters Grant Program (AFG). REQUEST: Request for a resolution to enter into a multi-year professional services contract with CNC Consulting (CNC) for a grant manager for our FY 2021 Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program (AFG) award. CNC will provide professional grant management services for the Hawaii Fire Department for the term of the grant plus 90 days beyond the grant term, August 29, 2022 through and including November 28, 2024. The County shall pay CNC an hourly rate for services performed of$125.00 per hour. The total compensation for the duration of the agreement shall not exceed $30,000.00. B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): The Hawaii Fire Department solicited for professional services in the Community Planning (Grant/Writer/Manager) category. Hawaii Fire Department needs a grant manager for its FY2021 Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program (AFG). The responsibilities and obligations of the selected grant manager shall include, but not be limited to the following: - Collaborate with Hawaii Fire Department Staff to ensure successfule procurement and payment processing of awarded items; prepare financial status and performance reports; assist with submitting necessary award amendments; monitor grant expenditures, submit payment requests, and perform grant reconciliation; comply with all Federal, State and local rules as they relate to the respective grant; prepare and file quarterly and final financial and program reports; ensure Hawaii Fire Department is adhereing to the parameters of the grant award; successfully close out the grant inclusive of all required FEMA documentation; ensure that Hawaii Fire Department is "audit ready" as it relates to the respective grant.
