Re: Capital Budget

Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance appropriating the excess fuel tax revenues collected
from 2020-2022. Actual revenues collected exceeded the $5,800,000 of projected
revenues established in Ordinance 21-19 by $859,913.03. The excess revenues are being
distributed using the same procedures and percentages established by Ordinance 21-19. !
A breakdown of the programs and the specific projects are listed on Exhibit A of the bill.

A. REQUEST:
The Department of Public Works is requesting an ordinance to amend Ordinance 22-64, by adding
appropriation to the Capital Budget to appropriate excess fuel tax revenues collected from 2020-2022 as
follows:
PROGRAM AMOUNT
Roadway Projects $252,043.47
Bridge Inspection/Repair $177,913.04
Local Road Improvements $429,956.52
Total $859,913.03
Project and district appropriations are detailed in the attached Exhibit A.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED
Actual revenues collected exceeded the $5,800,000 projected revenues established by Ordinance 21-19 by
$859,913.03. This ordinance will distribute excess revenues using the same procedures and percentages
established by Ordinance 21-19.
