SOLUTION NO. M21 23
RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING
APPROPRIATION U N FROM THE DESIGNATED
ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED
ACCOUNT
WHEREAS, Resolution Number 329-22, approved by the Council of the
County of Hawaii on March 9, 2022 transferred an appropriation of$2,500
from Contingency Relief funds to the Department of Liquor Control; and
WHEREAS, this appropriation was to be utilized to award a grant to We
Are Oceania, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to provide essential school
supplies and miscellaneous items for 500 public school students; and
WHEREAS, the grant agreement with We Are Oceania could not be
executed within the required timeframe; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Liquor Control now wishes to transfer the
appropriation back to the County of Hawai'i's General Fund; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that the following amount be and is hereby transferred/appropriated as set
forth below:
FUND: GENERAL
AMOUNT OF
APPROPRIATION: $ 2,500
OUT AND FROM: 010.251.5251.39 Liquor Control/Public Programs
CREDITED TO: 010.911.5911.24 Sundry Refund
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of
Hawaii shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of the Mayor, the
Department of Liquor Control, and the Department of Finance.
