RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL GRANT MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR THE HAWAI‘I
FIRE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more
than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawai‘i wishes to enter into a multi-year agreement spanning from August 29, 2022 through November 28, 2024 with CNC Consulting (CNC) to provide grant management
services for the Hawai‘i Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, the grant manager will collaborate with Hawai‘i Fire Department staff to ensure successful procurement and payment processing of their grant award as well as prepare reports,
perform grant reconciliation, and ensure legal compliance in relation to the Firefighters Grant Program (AFG); now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I:
That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a multi-year agreement spanning from August 29, 2022 through November 28, 2024 for the services as described above, for the Hawai‘i
Fire Department.
That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawai‘i shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of the Management, the Hawai‘i Fire Department and the Finance
Department.
