The Victims of Crime Act grant was budgeted for $115,000 in 1996-97.
An additional $42,429 has been approved. Enclosed is a bill for an
ordinance amending the Operating Budget to appropriate the additional
$42,429.

A. REQUEST:
To increase revenues and amend appropriations for Federally Funded
Victims of Crime Act (V.O.C.A. ) accounts.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED) :
Our previous projection for the expenditure of $147000.00 in Federal Grant
funds falls short of the approved budge for this program by $42,429.00.
We are requesting that the additional revenue be appropriated according to
