Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 21-23, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 21-23, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako, via Communication No. 22
dated December 2, 2022, transfers/appropriates an appropriation out and from the designated fund
account and credits same to a designated fund account.
This resolution transfers $2,500 from the Liquor Control/Public Programs account; and credits to
the Sundry Refund account, to complete the return of prior year Contingency Relief funds from
the Department of Liquor Control.
Committee Member Heather Kimball asked why these funds would be returned to the General
Fund and not to the District Contingency Relief Fund.
Finance Director Deanna Sako gave a quick overview, adding that had this refund been
completed during the same fiscal year that it was intended for,the funds would be returned to the
district; but because the intended year is already completed, it will be designated to the County's
General Fund.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 21-23,
and recommends its adoption.
