Sako,via Communication No. 18 dated <br /> December 2, 2022, amends Ordinance No. 22-64, as amended, relating to Public Improvements and <br /> Financing thereof for the fiscal year July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023. <br /> This bill appropriates excess fuel tax revenues collected from 2020-2022 by establishing the following <br /> fuel tax program appropriations to the Capital Budget: Roadway Projects (Engineering) ($252,043.47); <br /> Bridge Inspection, Repair and Replacement Program(Engineering) ($177,913.04); and Local Road <br /> Improvements (Highways) ($429,956.52), for a total appropriation of$859,913.03. <br /> Per Committee Chair Matt Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder's request, Ms. Sako provided a brief overview of this <br /> bill. Ms. Sako also addressed some questions that were given during public testimony and concerns <br /> regarding the possible disruption of archaeological and cultural sites.
