I am pleased to nominate Desmon Haumea to the Cultural Resources Commission.
Mr. Haumea is a lifelong resident of Hawaii and continues to be an engaged and active
community member. He currently serves as a representative for the Ka'u district on the Hawaii
Island Burial Council.
Mr. Haumea is a Cultural Historian and serves on the Puna Chapter of the Royal Order of
Kamehameha, amongst many other community organizations. If confirmed, he will serve a term
ending December 31, 2028.
