I would like to comment to oppose the long planned Ali'i Highway
The location is within the Special Management Area and Several Historic Districts.
Iwi Kupuna and archaeology sites are huge concerns, and in the past, several occasions the county
attempted to build, and since 2005 it was turned down.
Many Kupuna and lineal descendant who strongly opposed to protect these Sacred Iwi Kupuna have
passed away and already spoke.
Thousands of Burials noted in testimony, Hawai'i Island Burial Council in 2000, it was voted down.
Discussions with past members of the Hawai' Island Burial Council ( 1992-1993)
The cost when stopped in 2005 to build was $50 million dollars, today the cost is $250 million.
I would like to suggest the priority top of your list to be the expanding of the Kuakini Highway.
