RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT FOR SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE AND USER SUPPORT
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more
than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Human Resources, Workers’ Compensation Division currently utilizes Ventiv Claims software; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawai‘i wishes to enter into a new five (5) year, multi-year software maintenance and user support agreement with Ventiv Technology, Inc. in order to secure a
lower cost; and
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I:
That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year agreement for the software maintenance and user support as described above, for the Department of Human Resources.
That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawai‘i shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of the Mayor, Department of Human Resources, and the Finance
Department.
