AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 15, ARTICLE 8, SECTION 15-68.1 OF THE HAWAI‘I COUNTY CODE 1983 (2016 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO THE PARKS AND RECREATIONAL FACILITY SCHEDULE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I:
SECTION 1. Purpose. The Department of Parks and Recreation recognizes the need to periodically review the Hawai‘i County Code and implement a comprehensive update of the parks and recreational
facility schedule. This ordinance adds and removes parks and cemeteries, consolidates certain parks under a single park, adds geographic categories to provide a clearer breakdown of
park locations, and adds tax map key parcel identifiers.
SECTION 2. Chapter 15, article 8, section 15-68.1 of the Hawai‘i County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended) is amended to read as follows:

need not be included.
SECTION 6. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, the invalidity does not affect other provisions
or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of this ordinance are severable.
SECTION 7. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
