This is m response to your lever of December 2, 1999, reyuesting a temporary one-way
traffic pattern on Kapiolani Street during the 1999 Christmas season.
Pursuant to Section 24-10 of the Hawaii County Code, the Police Chief will exercise his
authority by permitting a temporary one-way traffic flow pattern in the Purta (South)
direction on Kapiolani Street between Waianuenue Avenue and Ponahawai Street This
temporary change will take effect on the dates and times requested:
• 3:00 p m Ftiday, December 2.3, 1999, to 2:00 a.m Saturday, December 2S, 1999
• 5'00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. December Z>, 1999

HAWAII COUNTY CODE
In conjunction with the Christmas season activities, St. Joseph's Catholic Clwreh Is
requesting a temporary one-way traffic pattern on Kapiolani Street.
$y virtue of Section. 24-10 of [he Hawaii County Code, Authority of Police Chief to
Establish Emergency and Experimental Regulations to cover special conditions, l intend
to temporarily create aone-way flow in the Puna or southerly direction. on Kapiolani
Street between W'aianuenue Avenue and Ponahawai Street on the following dates and
times
• 3:00 p.m. Fliday, December 24, 1999, to Z:00 a.m. Saturday, December 25, 1999
• x:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. December 25, 1999
During these time periods, pazking will be allowed on both sides of Kapiolani Street.
