The state of"Animal Control" here is an oxymoron.Animal Control under the Police Department has utterly failed.They do
not respond to phone calls.There is no way to communicate with them.The state of our island homeless animals is in
shambles. We(the community) have been forced into the position of having to TNR,foster,adopt and save these animals.
People are trapping and dumping cats all over the island. Many of these cars are chipped and have loving owners who are
desperately trying to locate their beloved pet.The Humane Society used to accept trapped cats but nobody accepts them any
more so they are getting dumped Keaau transfer station,CVS Pahoa, behind Pahoa Fresh Fish.They are everywhere and we
NEED help! We need a facility that can help take care of all of these animals. It is out of control and we need an intervention
NOW!
