Aloha,
My name is Leilani Nuihui and I am writing to oppose Bill 12. Over the last couple of years I have watched Kaloko,one of our
last in tact native forest ecosystems become divided and developed. It is home to native animals and trees. It is a critical part
of our eco system and is being sold off to the highest bidder who may or may not have the forests interest in mind. The
smaller the parcels the more development and the larger the impact to our plants and animals. Our'Ohia trees have
especially sensitive roots and any disturbance near them will cause them to die.You can see this when you drive up. Dead
trees in peoples driveways or horse arenas. Please do not allow subdivision down to one acre. There will be no forest left
after that.
