ON Aloha council members, An almost comically badly timed development is before you this week. With bulldozers preparing more house sites(not affordable)along Alii Drive and no infrastructure to support it, who on this council would say"yes"to more — damning residents and visitors of kona even further with the pathetically unplanned mishmash facing them/us each day? There are many reasons to oppose this plan, some of which I hope you'll be hearing about(and that you should already know if you've done your due diligence); but lack of connective roadways, walking and biking paths, coastal access and more are lacking there for anyone who has the eyes to see. I'm all for infill —AFTER community-driven (not developer- driven) infrastructure is built,AFTER connection to a TOD/TND is established per the Kona Community Development Plan. Can you say Alii Parkway? Will it or any connecting roadways ever be built to lessen the traffic misery in this area? Sources say"no" — some of them being the same people who want this development to go forward, oddly enough. So please listen and feel empathy for our community, including and especially those who want to protect the cultural integrity of this area. This rezoning is not an entitlement. Oppose changing the zone of this parcel of land to 1 acre parcels. Vote"NO"on Bill 12. Mahalo and sincerely, Janice Palma-glennie Keauhou Comm. No. 60- 11 V Ref. MAW 1 efe ate .I A 2n23
