Public libraries play an important role in supporting education and literacy. They provide countless resources, such as educational materials, trainings, courses, publications, etc. to visitors of all ages. They are safe havens for children, providing after-school homework help, games, and book clubs. They offer computer classes, allowing older adults to stay engaged in a digital world. Libraries are community hubs. As Waikoloa continues to grow the need for a library is also growing. A community that has a library is a healthy and thriving community and a library in Waikoloa would be great benefit to our community and its children. I urge you to please vote in the affirmative. Sincerely, Mary Kelly Board President Friends of the Library-Waikoloa Region Comm. No.. ' Ref.To:_P 1'/ Ref. Dote—FEB 7 9oi
