REPORT OF THE <br /> COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br /> DATE: February 7, 2023 Re: Comm.No. 87/Res.No. 48-23 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 9:01 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Resolution No. 48-23,reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 48-23,transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako, via Communication No. 87 <br /> dated January 20, 2023, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of more than one fiscal <br /> year for a multi-year lease of four walking floor trailers for the Department of Environmental <br /> Management. <br /> This resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into a five-year lease agreement with an approximate <br /> monthly cost of$15,600 for equipment to collect and transport refuse. <br /> Committee Chair Matt Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder asked Environmental Management Director Ramzi Mansour <br /> how many walking floor trailers the department currently has.
