Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Bill No. 20,reports as follows:
Bill No. 20, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako, via Communication No. 82 dated
January 20, 2023, amends Ordinance No. 22-63, as amended,the Operating Budget for the County
of Hawai`i for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023.
This bill appropriates revenues in the Federal Grants—Clean Water Act 604(b) account($49,600),
and appropriates the same to the Clean Water Act 604(b) account. Funds would be used to complete
a Wastewater Service Area Expansion Feasibility Study.
Committee Chair Matt Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder mentioned that this bill is a companion measure to
Resolution 44-23.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 20, and recommends
its passage on first reading.
