Dear Council Members:
My wife and I have lived in North Kona for 27 years, and in our current residence in Pualani Estates
for the last 12 years. Because we have witnessed significant increases in population, commercial and
residential construction, and resultant traffic congestion during that time, we strongly support
enactment of Bill 194, which will require careful study and council approval of developer requests for
time extensions. The present system has failed to adequately take the aforementioned increases into
account when evaluating time extension requests, and should not be allowed to continue.
