I am pleased to nominate Paul P. Paiva to the Board of Ethics. ••
Mr. Paiva is a lifelong resident of Hawai`i and a graduate of Hilo High School. He earnedis
Business Administration degree from the University of Hawai`i at Hilo and his Bachelor of
Science from Excelsior College.
Mr. Paiva has extensive employment, educational and specialized training in various capacities.
He brings his perspective as a former employee with the County of Hawai`i Police Department,
the Fire Department, and W.M. Keck Observatory, and retired with the Coast Guard Reserve. If
confirmed, he will serve a term ending December 31, 2023.
