No. 51-23 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 4:05 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Legislative Approvals and Acquisitions, to which was referred Resolution No. 51-23, <br /> reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 51-23, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako, via Communication No. 90 <br /> dated January 20, 2023, authorizes the Director of Finance to negotiate a sixty-five year lease with the <br /> State of Hawai`i for the purpose of the development and construction of a public library by the Hawai`i <br /> State Public Library System, situated at Waikoloa, District of South Kohala, County and State of <br /> Hawai`i, and identified as Tax Map Key: 6-8-041-020 at a set lease rental amount of$0.00 per year. <br /> The property is located within the County's Kamakoa Nui Subdivision is approximately 2.567 acres, and <br /> would be used for the,purposes of developing, building, and operating a public library. <br /> Housing Administrator Susan Kunz and State Librarian Stacey Aldrich appeared via zoom to answer <br /> questions.
