Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Resolution No. 58-23,reports as follows:
Resolution No. 58-23,transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako,via Communication No. 105 dated
February 2, 2023, authorizes the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State of Hawaii Department
of Transportation.
This resolution allows for the receipt of$1,765,000,which would be used to purchase battery electric
buses.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Pursuant to Section 46-7,Hawai`i Revised Statutes,the Mayor of the County of Hawai`i is authorized to
execute, on behalf of the County, an agreement and related documents with the State of Hawai`i
Department of Transportation for the purpose as described above.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 58-23, and
recommends its adoption.
