Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Bill No. 25, reports as follows:
Bill No. 25,transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako,via Communication No. 105 dated February
2, 2023, amends Ordinance No. 22-63, as amended,the Operating Budget for the County of Hawaii for
the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023.
This bill appropriates revenues in the State Grants—Volkswagen Settlement—Hawai`i Zero Emission
Bus account($1,765,000); and appropriates the same to the Volkswagen Settlement—Hawai`i Zero
Emission Bus account for the purchase of battery electric buses.
Committee Member Susan L. K. Lee Loystated that this measure is a companion measure p to Resolution
No. 58-23.
Acting Committee Chair Cindy Evans thanked Ms. Lee Loy.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 25, and recommends its
passage on first reading.
