The proposed amendment is <br /> shown in Ramseyer format with respect to the contents of Bill No. 22 Draft 2; material to be <br /> deleted is bracketed and stricken, and material to be added is underscored. Due to the limited <br /> scope of this amendment, a draft copy of the new draft of this Bill that would result if this <br /> proposed amendment is adopted is not attached. <br /> SECTION 3 of Bill No. 22, Draft 2,that adds a new Article entitled"Animal Control and <br /> protection Agency, is amended by amending "Section 2-_. Powers and duties of the animal <br /> control and protection administrator" contained within this new Article, to read as follows: <br /> "Section 2- Powers and duties of the animal control and protection <br /> administrator. <br /> The animal control administrator: <br /> (1) Shall have the direct responsibility for the administration and operation of <br /> County pounds, which services can be provided directly,jointly, or under <br /> contract with private entities; <br /> (2) Shall have the authority to staff the agency with necessary personnel to <br /> carry out the purposes of the agency; <br /> Comm.
