Dear Chair Inaba,
My name is Dr. Jamal Wasan and I am the President and CEO of Lokahi Treatment Centers (LTC). We
are a non-profit organization and in support of Resolution 61-23. Here at LTC, we understand the
importance of bringing together a variety of stakeholders that include the mental health and addictions field.
Together we are able to craft a shared vision that truly defines recovery and stability for our homeless and
at-risk populations. We are grateful to be an awardee and partner with various agencies through the Office
of Housing and Community Development to improve housing outcomes through our evidence-based
treatment protocols.
Our program is designed. not only to provide substance and mental health treatment for the homeless and
at-risk population, but to help provide stability in their lives by building a strong network of resources
through treatment planning and case management.
We look forward to working with all of you and providing the best services possible for our homeless and
at-risk population on Hawai'i island.
