SUBJECT: Proposed Amendment to Bill 28; AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 19,
ARTICLE 7, SECTION 19-53 AND ARTICLE 10, SECTION 19-71, OF THE
HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2016 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATED TO
REAL PROPERTY TAXES.
Please see below a proposed amendment to Bill No. 28. The proposed amendment is illustrated
below in Ramseyer format with respect to the contents of Bill No. 28; material to be added is
underscored.
SECTION 1 of Bill No. 28 is amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 1. Purpose. The purpose of this ordinance is to safeguard certain
agriculturally productive properties which are also used as an owner's primary residence
or as affordable rental housiniz from rising assessment values."
A draft copy of the bill that would result if this proposed amendment is adopted, is not attached.
