Subject: Opposed to Bill 12, Kahalu'u Rezoning 5 acres to 1 acre
Aloha Council members,
I have been born and raised in Kona. I have seen the growth that has now swelled into overgrowth.We have reached a
critical; over population point.This planned development will continue to choke our roads and deplete our ever dwindling
resources.
The 2 main roads that service Kona residences are overwhelmed with cars every day. Kona's essential infrastructure from
roads,water, sewage, etc.are overwhelmed. No matter what day it is, it takes me 25 to 30 minutes to drive the 10 miles from
my home down into town for medical services. When I continue from town to Costco's, it takes me another 10 to 15 minutes!
Where are the low income houses for Kona families.7I'm not talking about Hawaiian homes;that requires a blood quantum.
Stop the madness! Mahalo.
