RESOLUTION NO. SQ 23
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE PA`AUILO COMMUNITY EASTER
EVENT.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Recreation Division,provides a
diversified recreation program that addresses the needs and interests of the respective
communities in a safe environment at County recreational facilities; and
WHEREAS,the Recreation Division plans, conducts, arranges, or promotes organized
recreation, athletics, crafts, and other leisure time activities for all age groups at recreation
centers and facilities throughout the County of Hawai`i; and
WHEREAS, the Recreation Division is planning a community Easter event at Pa'auilo
gymnasium on April 8, 2023, which event will include prizes for the Easter egg hunt and other
activities presented in a safe and fun environment; and
WHEREAS, the Recreation Division is requesting funds for the Easter event, which
includes prizes for the Easter egg hunt and other related cost; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation for its Pa'auilo Community Easter Event.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
