Roth, dated February 15, 2023, <br /> requests the Council's review and confirmation of the nomination of Paul P. Paiva to the Board <br /> of Ethics. <br /> Deputy Managing Director Bobby Command was present in the Kona Chambers to introduce <br /> Mr. Paiva, who was present in the Hilo Chambers. <br /> Pursuant to Article 14, Section 14-5(a) of the Hawaii County Charter, members of the Board of <br /> Ethics shall be appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the Council. <br /> Your Committee on Governmental Operations and External Affairs is in accord with the purpose <br /> and intent of Communication No. 116, and recommends confirmation of the appointment of <br /> Paul P.
