No. 62-23 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 1:00 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Legislative Approvals and Acquisitions, to which was referred Resolution No. 62-23, <br /> reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 62-23, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako, via Communication No. 124 <br /> dated February 16, 2023, authorizes grant of a 65-year term easement for utility purposes to Hawai`i <br /> Electric Light Company, Inc. and Hawaiian Telcom, Inc., over Tax Map Keys: 3-9-001:034 (por.) and <br /> 3-9-001:042 (por.) located at O`okala, District of North Hilo, County and State of Hawai`i.. <br /> The resolution provides a Revocable Right of Entry to Easement U-2 at a cost of$1,700 and <br /> Easement U-3 at a cost of$5,000 for the continued maintenance and operation of infrastructure <br /> required to provide electrical and telecommunication services to the community. <br /> Finance Property Manager Hamana Ventura was available for questions. <br /> Pursuant to Sections 2-111(2) and 2-114 of the Hawai`i County Code, the Council is authorized to grant <br /> easements, subject to revert to the County of Hawai`i upon termination or abandonment of the specific <br /> purpose without auction upon a finding of substantial purpose. <br /> Your Committee on Legislative Approvals and Acquisitions is in accord with the purpose and intent of <br /> Resolution No. 62-23, and recommends its adoption. <br /> wpb <br /> AYES NOES ABS EX Respectfully submitted, <br /> EVANS X <br /> GALIMBA X COMMITTEE ON LEGISLATIVE <br /> INABA X APPROVALS A I ACQUISITIONS <br /> KAGIWADA X ii / <br /> KANEALI`I-KLEINFELDER X Adel?' <br /> KIERKIEWICZ X HOLEKA GORO INABA, CHAIR <br /> KIMBALL X <br /> LEE LOY X LAAC REPORT NO.: 14 <br /> VILLEGAS X ADOPTED: MAR 2 2 2023 <br />
